About Riding Holidays
What is a riding holiday?
Whether you are an experienced rider wanting to get away from it all for a week on one of our horse riding breaks or a total beginner wanting to learn how to ride in a week we can find something for you.
Your very own ponySome of our courses are residential while others allow you to find your own accommodation to suit your budget. (I am sure recommendations can be made if necessary). Whichever you choose you will be spending lots of time with your horse.
Many of our locations are situated near fantastic woodland or beaches and they will all be at your disposal as you get away from the rush of the 21st century. When riding in the beautiful English countryside (not to forget the fantastic scenery in Wales, Scotland and Ireland as well) you will have plenty of time to enjoy the wildlife and the trees at your leisure. Perhaps even stopping off for a Pub Lunch or afternoon tea.
If your choice of venue is near the sea then you could find yourself galloping along the beach with the sound of the sea in your ears and the feel of the wind on your face. This really is a sensation that has to be experienced to be believed. Some holidays can also be tailored to concentrate on dressage or show-jumping skills.
Try something new...
What better way to spend a hard earned weeks holiday than learning to ride. Right from the start, when you are introduced to your horse you will be entering a different world. You and your trusted steed will be working as one for the week. You will be helping with turning out and feeding in the morning and learning all about stable management. It will not all be work
- once you have learnt the basics in an indoor or outdoor arena at the stables there will be some unforgettable rides in the woods or the forests, just you, the horses and nature. Many courses also put together mini gymkhanas and other events to keep you entertained. See individual promotions for details.
