Two hour beginners ride at Yelverton

A riding lesson for a complete beginner.

This experience will last a total of approx. 2 hours with approx. 2 hours in the saddle.

On arrival, you will be introduced to your horse or pony, and your instructor. Under supervision, you will groom and then tack up your horse or pony, learn how to mount, ride at a walk, and maybe even a trot, depending on your ability. You will take a short ride with your instuctor over the beautiful and wild moorland, then return to the stable, dismount and untack your horse.

Special Conditions

* Weight limit of 14 stone
* Should be able to get on and off horse with no/minimal assistance
* Riding hats provided (if own is used it must comform to current safety standards)
* Flat shoes or boots with a small heel should be worn
* Warm layers of clothing, gloves,and a water/windproof outer layer recommended as Dartmoor temperature varies throughout the day.
* Waterproof leggings for loan free of charge if available

Each voucher entitles one person to participate in this experience. The voucher is non-transferable, which means that only the person named on the voucher can use it. The voucher remains valid for bookings for 6 months from the date of purchase. Please contact the operator using the details printed on your voucher to arrange a date for your event.

We recommend that you purchase your voucher and make a booking for your event at least one month prior to your chosen date. This is particularly important for weekend events.
